I'm very interested by that watch as well
and maybe especially because of its different proportions (narrow with a little thickness). I imagine the fact the sides are straight goes with this feeling.
On the dial side, I appreciate a lot the way it is, with various technical elements, that's something I like very much (like in the 5975 fo rinstance).
I had the same feeling on pictures as you did about the second subdial. Not about the position but about its size that I found a little too small compared to the dial. I guess it is because I'm used to seeing bigger ones thus needing a little time.
About the position, they had to deal with the different moving rings, hence a little higher indeed. That might inded be something to get used to.
