He was wearing it while it was raining!
When the tour started, it rained. The gentleman had a poncho on, but it was not long enough to cover the arms, that's why we noticed the watch. It just occured to me that it had a minute repeater function, and if my memory is correct, it's not as water resistant as other Patek. I hope it didn't get wet while worn in the rain.

a fake?
i thought that -unless it's a fake- any patek model can survive undamaged a rain fall, or am i misinformed? if raindrops can damage a watch, how about sweating profusely?

I'm just commenting about the fact that the minute repeater is not as water resistant as other PP models due to the mechanism. The entire family is very well dressed, and their watches and jewelries all speak "money"
