I believe you are the Panerai, Royal Oak Offshore type, you like your watch BIG, THICK and PRESENCE!! On the other hand, Patek is pretty much the opposite because of its origin and I believe Patek intends to keep it that way. I suggest you wear it more often and then you will realise and appreciate it.

I always want to wear a Royal Oak and Panerai but the fact that they are soooooo big and draws alot of attention is something I don't want. I like wearing my watches understate, slim like Pateks. Guess I am a old timer.

Sam, sorry it wasn't quite what you expected. I'll take it off your hands before you break this fragile piece. You can then go back to Rolex, Offshore, and Panerai.

So I must try and clarify here.... Thin is good in this case and it adds to the comfort of the watch as I commented on at the end. I was just very surprised by it and it caught me a little off guard. In actual fact, the thinness of the 5712 vs. some of my...
