exactly right...blue discoloration
it's a common problem with Patek, at least from what I know - what u see is the blue discolouring the hands -- the lubrication travelled up the pinion from the movement.
the solution is to get the hands changed - but I know at least one instance when the hands were changed three times but this problem continued...
i'll live with it for a while before deciding what to do next
