Don't wait for Patek Philippe for that kind of gimmick! 
They would do it only if they had no other solution IMO, i.e. if they couldn't fit a circular second on a busy dial, but that's quite unprobable.
You can get a retrograde date on a 5159 if you want a retrograde hand, that's something!
The retrograde seconds is an Agenhor module used by various watch makers, so you can find someting nice with it for a very low price.

About the only thing missing in my collection (1 calatrava 5117, 1 annual calendar 5146G, 1 UNardin GMT Perpetual, plus 3 other) is a retrograde. I love the fun factor of retrograde seconds. Any chance Patek would ever do a retrograde second? I am looking...
5159 is an incredible looking watch...
but boy is it expensive. I was at the PP Paris boutique in July and they couldn't or wouldn't even give me an estimate of when one might come available. I am guessing it could be at least a year or two wait for one of those unless you are a big time clien...
