Does anybody know how many Ref#3970EP's were made? My favor word is Wholesale not Retail
It is my understanding that Patek Philippe started making the 3970 in platinum in 1993, which was when it was the 3970E? Am I correct?
Roughly how many 3970's were made. I hear that the total amount is like 3,600 from 1986-2004. I would guess 360 3970P's in Platinum were produced. Does anybody have any knowledge on this?
This topic has been discussed from time to time. Any more light can be shed on this?

Why does it matter?
Most of us can barely afford to wear one. If lucky enough to have one, it alone garners sufficient affection and admiration. Why does it matter how many more were made? Regards, MTF
