Display back: 5119 vs 5196 for cal 215
The 5119 at 36 mm has 1 mm smaller case diameter than the 5196. They both use the same caliber 215PS & unlike the 5196,the 5119 has a display back. Does the 1 mm make such a difference. If yes, in balance, I feel that the increase in the diameter is worth the absence of a display back.
My final short list was 5119 in wg vs 5196 P & I opted for the 5196. Pity there is no 5119 in P. Has this ever been done.

under the back, is it just the movement or is their a sapphire under there? saw one today and i saw the edge where it looks like u could pop up with fingernail but no hinge so i didnt wanna attempt.. if its just for watchmaker access is their a piece simi...
As far as I know...
...it is just a conventional solid back to the case with no hidden sapphire glass. Tim
