I would go with 5270. The sub dials are easier to read and clearer.

I am second guessing here because I am not exactly sure why you bring up the fact you have 2 sons.

the 5970 is a much better looking watch and a classic PP design. I'm not fond of the 5270 but I admit to being biased! ...

possibly a 3970 if they like the smaller size. The 5270's dial just appears bland compared to the 5970, but JMHO.

Rather unclear. Perhaps I am not familiar with you. Trying to understand the question; the part that mentioned u have 2 sons. Are u trying to choose a piece for your son(s), or are u saying that because u have 2 sons, that u have to choose between watches...

money not an issue. i have 2 sons. i have a 5970g. id like to buy another piece in the same price range. that was the basis of the question. ie, what wld u do? another 5970, a 5270? or another watch all together in the price range.

yes thats right...my
sons are young also, 6 and 4. when they turn 30 ill take the pateks out of the safe. if theyre good people, obviously!

Get another 5970...its more collectable and will see a higher appreciation value before the 5270
