Calatrava Ref 3992
Recently acquired a pre-owned Calatrava model ref 3992 from a Patek Philippe dealershp in the U.K. This has the automatic (small rotor) self winding with the caliber 240 - 27 jewel movement. The dia size of the watch is 33mm with a thickness being 6mm. The watch was supplied new in 1991 and comes with all original paperwork etc and boxs (even the Register of Patek Philippe ownership was never completed and sent in). The watch is in lovely condition and looks like it has hardly been worn - Think the strap is original too.
My question is :- Looking in the search facility, I can find no infomation on this watch model, obviously Patek can't have produced many of this model otherwise i'm sure it would have been mentioned. can anybody give me a bit more info/background on this watch ? Bye the way, very happy with my purchase - been testing the timkeeking and power reserve and it seems spot on.
I like the understated look of the Calatrava range - also have a ref 5000 in rose gold with the same/similar movement. (addition of the seconds module)
Thanks Graham
