...seem to be limited to 30 minutes? Even the new (and beautiful 5172) has that time limit. Maybe it's traditional, but it's not very practical. Would it be that difficult to change the limit to an hour? Just a thought...

but that is an Annual and not classified by Patek as a Grand Complication (perpetual). I would just really love to see a 60-minute chrono on a version of the 5172. I can't imagine it would make any difference price-wise.
