Christian, this drink was first created by the bartender of Brooks's Club in London in 1861 in memory of Prince Albert, who was Queen Victoria's Prince Consort. Made with Guinness and Champagne !... Enjoy.

I was actually thinking of something with a bit of alcohol in it - an other thing - the dial is Matt black with a silvery sheen. The Black velvet is spot on!
I like it, I think the Patek community should also start claiming ownership on a few drinks! :-) Another good red and black option might be the Black Devil Martini ;-)
As for sports nicks, since we already have a (real) 5960 Leicester, we could unofficially dedicate this version to AC Milan... Cheers.

It is such a cool watch. Patek is carrying a lot of heritage that I love but if they only look in the history books
They would end up being a bad copy of their former glory. I feel this watch Brought some new ideas to the table and the new design as well.
And it works in so many different styles...
Your "coke" has a very different expression than, say, the first platinum grey dial version. It's a very well designed watch, a future classic for sure.

I also really like the black platinum. Those would perhaps be my two favorites .....but in sincerely like all the 5960....they each have something. E.g. the R with the brushed dial is something I find very appealing

Hi Christian, reading through the discussions, IMO you are correct that for certain Patek references, especially your 5960 (black and red), a catchy and appropriate nickname is warranted ! Rolex should ....
share such “privilege” with Patek. Given the various comments by others, I feel that Patek deserves more than the name of a cocktail or drink. What about a famous character from the comic books !!?? Since Rolex has the Batman (black and blue for GMT Maste...
