You are right I have been doing some light research on this and, as yet, cannot seem to find a 3940 with a roman numeral dial. Again it is only light research mind you, and I have been delving through old books!

hi, My interest begins to grow on this watch Patek Phillipe ref. 3940. The beautiful of this watch is - the perpetual calendar looks fine and thin. And I have been doing my homework on this PP 3940, but so far i still couldn’t find such dial in roman yet....
