A grand complication ...

Apr 14, 2013,10:04 AM

The book is next to my bed for quite some time and this weekend I finally  found some extra time to start reading it.

It is quite interesting to get some insights about the two gentleman (Mr. Packard & Mr. Graves), which are well known in the world of (complicated) watches.

"the Packard" is very impressive ...

... but the Geneva Observatory winner from 1935 is just to die for smile

Hope you had a great weekend as well!

Oliver

Well written like a novel even though it's all true. Fascinating people and story.

Thanks Oliver............

Thank you very much for the tip on this book, which I ordered right after I read your post. Best regards Georg

I tried to patronize my local bookstore this afternoon...

... to pick up a copy of this book. Unfortunately, though their system said they had it in stock, the store attendants could not find it! I suppose I will have to resort to the "evil" internet to obtain this book... and here I was trying to save local bus...

Aha I just picked up a copy!

Weekend reading - here in this picture shown with accompanying timepiece that is significantly less valuable than the Graves Supercomplication! ...

Still a great watch you got there!

I'm nearly finished with the book, there is one part where I really did say something out loud I was that shocked it came soo close to happening!
