The problem with the Golden elipse is that it has a very 70s-80s design and must admit that it was a very popular watch.
However tastes change, markets turn to different designs and the Golden elipse seems no longer of today's tastes.
But things may change, look at the tonneau and rectangular curvex (? la Dubuis) revival. Designs of the 20s that every one had forgot and who are back with a vengeance

Not true my friend . Ellipse is a lasting Beauty and Design. Why Patek Philippe still produce it ? If there was no demand,the would not. It`s Elegant and simple.
I love the ellipse.
Classic design. You don\'t see many worn in the wild which makes it special.
