5053 replacement?
I have been closely examining Pateks for several months now, probably spending far too much time doing this than is healthy, and I must admit I simply love the 5053G. This watch hits all the right buttons more than any other watch at any price.
I am getting ready to pull the trigger on this one, for my first Patek. I currently have a Rolex bimetal Datejust MOP, Breitling RG Montbrillant 1903 and a 70s YG Omega). I understand that it has been discontinued. Does anyone know anything about any replacement being due for Basel (for both officer's models 5053 and 5054)? I don't want to miss the boat however! I love the 5196P, 5296 and 5054 also, but they don't arouse quite the same warm feelings of love! Any comments also from 5053 owners would be appreciated. Many thanks.
