Thanks for your information.
I was actually at Christie's in May and saw 2526rg black in person. Indeed, the watch was great but gave up bidding because of the archive issue. I think we may forget about the archives if the watch itself is good enough to buy.

are there more black dials with pink/rose or yellow gold? I know that yellow is extremely rare. What about pink/rose?

as far as i know there are less than 20 black dials have appeared in the market. and only about 5 rose among them.
auction piece
would love to know the condition of that piece. Not mentioned in Chritie's description. They say 8 rose gold black dials are known which means only about 8-12 in yellow gold assuming only 20 black dials total. Who knows?

A rose gold / black enamel dial with bracelet sold in May at Christies in Geneva for a mere 123k CHF (sorry if it breaks forum protocol to mention price!). I was very tempted and lusted after the picture in the catalog, but was certainly not going to bid ...

It’s a treat to see these on their own, but to see the three together is indeed rare. The only thing missing is the black dial with the Breguet numbers to complete the picture, on any metal but preferably on the rose gold. Well done, a collecting triumph ...

2526 is one of my all time favorite simple watches. Nice to see such a fabulous trio. Very nice variations. Congratulations! Indeed 2526 makes a very interesting and valuable theme in watch collecting, as it has many special and attractive incarnations.
black or breguet
i do agree that the next 2526 should be black or breguet. but both are very very rare.
