to the days of when Patek was synonymous with CLASS. Nothing wrong with the 5980 of course but the 5140G is what Patek was a few years ago, discreet, efficient, unobtrusive and quintessentially a gentleman's timepiece, one really worthy to use for this li...

The 5980 is coherent... A Nautilus i a sport watch, and a Chrono fits well in a Sport Watch, but if you don't like it you did well, and going on a 5140 is a nice solution, nice and very elegant! Congrats! Best. Nicolas

Hi, Don't take me wrong. Many PP watches can be the perfect watch for someone dressed with class of course. PP is for me synonymous with very nicely and finely conceived, built, finished and cased manufacture calibres! Some watches are dressy indeed, but ...

only because you asked... the date numbers look cluttered to me, I do not like the enlarged numbers--I'll never understand that--it looks like an afterthought or error--or a smash-in. In general, the day and month also look cluttered, too much 'stuff' on ...
