Part of the 2018 Rare Handcrafts Collection, the cloisonné enamel dial features a “Steam Locomotive” themed design which pays tribute to the railways of the 19th century. The design appears to be based on the Central Pacific Railroad #60 or “Jupiter” built in 1868 by the Schenectady Locomotive Works of New York. Despite not knowing much about trains, I find them beautiful and fascinating, so naturally, I find this design to be particularly attractive.

The case is 18K white gold, 38.5mm in diameter and is rated to 3 bar of water resistance.

The hinged case back reveals calibre 240 beating away at 21,600 vibrations per hour and will run for 48 hours.

gradations of white color on the chimney and the smoke coming out from it ! Taking nothing from this motif and as the self proclaimed enamel slave/addict, I prefer brighter dials with more vibrant colors.

Great enamel dial.
