If the basic caliber of 5236 is used it would be a real shame .... we would lose an essential feature of the history of perpetual calendars with chrono ... the manual winding.
History would end from 1518 until today ...
The only positive note would be that of collectors .... they would become rich ... 3970-5970-5270 will reach the values of 2499 ..

The release of the 5270J portend discontinuation of the previous model which is the 5270P. The J will be the last series of the 5270s and I can see Patek using the 5236 movement and incorporate chrono into it to produce a new PCC series. BTW … great pics ...

Adding a chrono module would be too tricky, it would need to sit under the base movement and a chrono needs to be integrated. I would also argue at this level it needs to be a manual wind.

While I can afford this right now, it doesn’t make much financial sense. I see myself paying through the nose in 10 years for a used piece. Wear it in good health, it’s gorgeous.
