Doesn’t the glass and gold arc above the entrance resemble a blue dialed golden ellipse?

Visited PP Museum for the first time. Watched the theater video and was very interested to learn and find more about historical aspect of the Brand. Also had seen so many unimaginable priceless beautiful watches. Worth a visit!!! ...

This is one place I really want to visit. Did you take photos of specific pieces you enjoyed more ?

Thanks for the comments

 By: Prelude : March 1st, 2022-16:47
Hope you will have a wonderful time when you visit. Only the ground floor photos were allowed.

Private photos were not possible unfortunately.

Thanks for sharing your experience -- this place is home to THE single most important private collection in the world (Philippe Stern's), and is indeed an *overwhelming* experience that ANY watch enthusiast must have (at least once in a while :-)

Glad that Patek or your AD gave you the "VIP treatment" with a private visit, which brings it to a totally different level Looking forward to being back this summer! Enjoy. ...

Thanks for your nice comments always.

Watch heaven!

I love this museum so much that five years ago I had Patek arrange for me to spend my birthday there with a private tour. The enamel pieces, many of them non-Patek, are amazingly beautiful!

A most memorable time!

In addition, the Director of the Patek Salon took me around the Salon and presented me with a lovely porcelain dish.

As I'll be there in a few weeks...

 By: fmc000 : February 28th, 2022-14:14
...I'd like to ask you that already visited the Museum what do you think is absolutely worthwhile visiting and how long would it take. Thanks in advance.

That will be an unforgettable experience! It depends on how it’s arranged, but for sure you want to visit both the pre-Patek and the Patek floors, as well as the library. I do it privately (with a Patek guide), but in any case plan on at least 2 hours👍

Below is an introduction from Patek’s own site to get a sense before visiting. Without exaggeration, you’ll have a chance to see THE very best horology has been able to produce over the last several centuries….Hope you’ll enjoy!👍🥂 www.patek.com ...

Yes, I know about the impossibility of taking pictures, thank you.

I will report back, also adding details (and pictures, this time) about the visit to the AP Museum that I've scheduled for the day before

It's a passion for me.

 By: fmc000 : February 28th, 2022-18:31
My extremely limited funds will never allow me to own pieces from the brands but this doesn't stop me from cultivating my Passion in every way that I can.

I can only share your sentiment -- at the risk of sounding phony or politically correct (the thing I'd hate the most! ;-) let me actually say that passion is GENUINELY what motivates us on WPS, more than the number or even the quality of our watches.

 By: FabR : February 28th, 2022-19:55
Of course, I deeply love each and every one of my pieces (and I'm also really proud of them since they ALL come from my salary....in fact, sometimes I feel they are the reason why I keep working at my age, even if I already....proved quite a few good Math...

Thanks for YOUR nice words.

[OT] As a Math fan I would really love to know (in private maybe) something about your career. My goal, when I retire in 15 years or so, is to earn a second degree in Maths. BTW, right now I'm reading A Mathematician Apology by Hardy 😀 [/OT]

Thanx for your comments

Yes the Passion is the most important feeling!!!

In a few weeks…

Are you going during the Watches and Wonder 2022?? Wow!!🤩. If not then you should stay for that at least!!

No, unfortunately.

 By: fmc000 : February 28th, 2022-20:15
You need an invitation for that.

Awesome :)

Love PP's Vintage Pieces!

 By: enjoythemusic : February 28th, 2022-17:39
The vintage PP hand crafted movements were among some of the best. It's what built the company and the respect of the industry and enthusiasts back in the 1960s. This movement was made by VP and finished by PP. Have a look 👍 ...

Wow

 By: Prelude : March 3rd, 2022-18:31
Thanks so much for the beautiful movement photo! It is totally beyond words.

It is unbelievable place

I also visited at there in 2004. It is worth of visiting and there are really stunning watches.

Thanks for the comments.

 By: Prelude : March 3rd, 2022-18:33
Only the ground floor was allowed but watches are on the first floor and up.

You're very welcome!

Visiting this sacred place is on my bucket list. I just never seem to find the right time. I can understand why they would not want photos taken within. These watches are definitely meant to be seen with the naked eye, and I think it preserves how magical...

I was working in Italy and was able to get to Geneva to visit the Patek Philippe Museum. It was definitely high on my list of priorities. I went through it twice in two days. The first day, I walked through it by myself just to take it all in. On the seco...

Thanx for the comments and I think they are all beautiful.

 By: Prelude : March 8th, 2022-17:20
I understand that this brand does not massively punch out the watches made from machines like Rolex. But if you compare them especially before the mass production , the finishing needs for earlier models needs more time and energy one by one and it’s more...

In April … do I need to pre book the tickets or can anyone go on the day ?

Secret tip

 By: Prelude : March 8th, 2022-17:25
The tip I recommend you is that go to the salon in Geneve and try your dream watch hand by hand in the 2022 catalog. Then talk to the Patek employee that you want to visit the museum. I am sure you will be given a nice present that you do not need to preb...
