Hi, I know Seiko has quartz calibres with a kind of automatic device, but I don't know if other brands have some! No Patek Philippe so far! Cheers Dje

It seemed to me that the idea of "automatic" was essentially redundant - that all quartz were certainly not manual and ,therefore, some type of "automatic", although I would never have chosen that word myself. But it seems that I am ignorant of some type ...

I don't know if the greater issue is that I am so ignorant in areas I thought I was well informed, or that at this advanced age that I am still learning something new. Either way, thank you for understanding. Best regards, William
