And the Decision is...

Jan 13, 2015,17:13 PM

Well, first, let me explain how I went about this.

I appreciate the comments about the importance of emotion in purchasing a Patek.
I also agree that many Patek buyers are decisive people
The owners I know, like I assume, all of you, also value quiet thought and restraint.
I wanted a few days to decide in my own way.
My wise AD honored my request.
It was, after all in his interest as well.
He stood to lose a valuable, repeat customer and he knew it.

Aided by your comments and especially Gordon's beautiful photos,
I called today and committed to the purchase.
The AD confided that he was very happy that the watch will land with me.

Thanks to everyone!

Warren

 By: Warren99 : January 10th, 2015-13:41
This week, I received a call from a Patek Philippe AD from whom I have purchased before. He said he had been allotted one PP 5575 World Time. Surprisingly, he said he could offer it to me and would need to know of my commitment within a few days. This app...

Hi Warren, to be offered the 5575, you must have...

been an excellent customer that purchased quite a few pieces from your AD. If so, take advantage your privilege to get an iconic piece!! Read up on recent posts and you are going to realize how rare and sought after the 5575 is!! amp;fi=11&pi=6720698&...

I appreciate your comments. I have reviewed the information and great pictures you and others have posted. It is certainly a wonderful and unique timepiece. This information will certainly help in my decision. Warren

"What? I can take this one home?" ... that is how I felt with all my purchases so far

When I bought my humble watches I always forgot the price, always forgot the "potential" of it, in the moment of inspection prior to purchase. I was always so struck by them that I felt money does not do justice for them and I was always feeling that I am...

Thanks

for the excellent advice. However, in this instance, holding in in my hand and listening to my heart will not work. The AD has a watch allocated but it won't be in until April. Due to it being an anniversary item and in limited, albeit larger, production,...

I agree with Moritz.

AS AD won't get watch shipped without customer's name on papers and commitment in advance. So as an owner of one I say to OP take it and never look back if money is not an issue. The watch is stunning in person and you will be quite happy! Cheers and cong...

I still find the 175th anniversary marketing very bold

Don't get me wrong, I am too smitten by one creation in this line which is the 5975 in YG. If I should have the chance to get it I am prepared to buy it unseen, as I did with my Lange 1815 mp in hg. However, 1.200 editions are a clear and bold statement f...

Patek Philippe Buyers Are Usually Decisive People Who Are Capable of Making Decisions...

Patek Philippe Buyers are usually decisive people capable of making large decisions, often with deadlines and ultimatums in place. Whatever decision you make, make it quickly. As the longer you take, the dealer will possibly think they made a mistake in i...

hope that you really like your watch, otherwise I might be somewhat responsible for a bad decision :-( No worries, even if you do not like 5575, you can easily off-load it without incurring a loss. So a no lose situation :-) Imagine your wrist on this bab...
