Officine Panerai

BROWN is the NEW BLACK for Panerai in 2011

The watch feels incredibly light and sturdy. Despite it being modern in terms of materials, it retains much of the classical feel to it and the brown hues are very unique.

I find other PAMs very heavy and this is as light as feather. Whether or not it is as claimed harder than steel and ceramic I have yet to bang it to see. However, one thing I do notice on my 292 is that the DEEP DARK PITCH black tends to become lighter over time with repeated wearing. Since 339 is a new material that is aluminum originally undergoing chemical process for changes, I really do not know if it fades over time but since I was told by the boutique not to ever have it contact alcohol, I wonder if repeated wearing with sweats will cause it to fade.

Taking him out to hiking is joyous:

This is the 292 which I loved so much but then I find that the PITCH BLACK had started to go lighter in hues...

Has anyone had this issue... some of the sides turns a little powdery white.
