CENTIGRAPHE for timing
Hi all
Was curious does anyone actually use the CTS for timing? even if it is for eggs?
or is the CTS more admired for it's looks and it's technical brilliance (fusee chain, 1/100 timing, et. al)

The centrigraph doesn't actually have 1/100th of a second timing
It's a 1/6th of a second foudroyante that can be stopped mid-jump. 1/100 is an arbitrary number, with different dial printing, it could be 1/20 or 1/1000 seconds.
It's probably a step up over a normal foudroyante, I'm not sure how accurate it is, since it dwells on the 1/6 spots longer than the others. Still very cool.
This fuzzy 1/100th guesstimate used to bother me but now that we have a number of "true" 1/100 chronos like from zenith I don't mind the centigraphe implementation, it feels more a romantic complication than a technical one

As he wears Centigraphe a lot. Sadly I can only dream of it. I don’t see why you shouldn’t be able to time whatever you want within the 10 minutes. It looks super cool when the chronograph is running and I think it’s a great piece to have fun with in that regard. A lot more entertaining than regular chronographs.
