F.P. Journe

Hi guys, some of you may remember this watch. It's a F.P. Journe Chronometre Optimum with a white mother of pearl dial. At the time this was the only one that had ever been produced in this combination. It was something really special to me, especially since like a lot of you I didn’t come from money and worked really hard for this piece. Soon after moving to Los Angeles I realized that I had to sell it and invest the funds towards my business and setting up in the US. Although this was not too long ago, F.P. Journe was not the hyped up brand that it is today. Finding a buyer for this beautiful piece was really quite hard and I ended up taking a bath when selling it. The experience was heartbreaking but knowing that the funds were going towards something very special to me made it a little easier.

Yes there is something special about any MOP dial.

It’s a gorgeous piece indeed, but maybe one day your paths will cross again...🙏

Yes, it sat up for sale for a while with some amazing trade opportunities but unfortunately I needed to sell.

At least you have owned something truly special. I hope it has given you a great experience and some good memories. Your pictures are amazing.
Investing in your life is always a hundred times more right than owning ANY watch. We sometimes talk here like watches are the most Important thing in life.  Of course it isn’t.  Even if it can be painful to have to let a nice thing go, I hope we all have your good judgment to let go if necessary.

I actually wish that you had purchased it as I would be able to see it more often on here. I am happy with my choice as it was following my dream but also look forward to being able to add another piece from FPJ again in the future. Until then I have the amazing community here and am able to enjoy all of the photos and stories that are shared daily.

I enjoyed the white as the colour was very subtle unless in the correct lighting.

Not sure if part of a personal collection or for sale. Gorgeous piece. 

I believe that one is the white jade dial. You can tell the difference by the two separate pieces of jade to construct the dial. Look at 3 and 9 on the dial and you will understand what I mean.
