I would love to see it from the front with no angle. I would guess that it does not have a display back. I thought you were BS'ing at first that this was an actual model. Very cool. Great imagination to create it.

a most recognisable Cartier icon. if I recall correctly, its was like you said a melted maxi oval from a car crash experienced by some cartier executives that inspired the watch. prob coincided with Dali craze and the 60s-70s pop culture craze.

The legendary Crash
is actually still available but only as a special order piece. It is generally quartz now but mechanical versions have been made. Thanks for the photo Geo.
