Piaget

Found this watch years ago (5+) looking to see if anyone has any information this, I'm not a Piaget enthusiast and what little information I could pull up was on an italian site.

There are pictures on the site as well. My watch looks the same as the watch in the pictures. The watch does have swiss movement, and appears to be authentic. (I'm basing this on the weight, and craftsmanship)

The model number which appears on the back of the watch, on the spinning pendulum which powers the swiss movement is "8532"

If anyone could be of any help with this it would be greatly appreciated.

...but some preliminary searching indicates an automatic Piaget movement caliber 8532 that was possibly used in the 80s.  The photos you link to weren't that illuminating, other than that your watch is an Emperador based on case shape of the watch pictured.  What would be most helpful to me in getting you information on your piece is photos of your watch -- front, back and any numbers engraved on the caseback or movement.

I took two photos of the watch (Front and back) I tried to upload them to the forum but I believe they are to big in size....

I found this watch at a local country club, the owner never claimed it after a long time. If it's fake I won't be all that upset, however I would never wear it.

the movement works perfectly, it keeps time.

This does not look like a genuine Piaget.

I'm not an expert, but it looks like it could be a fake.  Better quality larger photos might be more helpful.  Also where did you "find" this watch.  Most of the time in the VC and Cartier forums I've frequented, when people post questions about watches they found, the watches are fakes.  I hope I am wrong, for the original poster's sake.

This is a Piaget watch appreciation forum.

The item illustrated in previous posts has many non-Piaget features that I do not want to discuss for security reasons.

The brevity and pretentiousness of your post and reference to "security" leads me to believe that you were under the impression I was trying to peddle this watch for profit by confusing enthusiast into believing it's a genuine piece. Let me assure you that's well below my ethical benchmark and I was attempting to do nothing of that nature.

If you notice I did not in any way, shape, or form try to use this forum to solicit a sale or anything of that nature.

I want to make it clear that under no circumstance did I mean to take away from the quality and integrity of your forum by posting a fake piece.

I found this watch at a well known and respected country club on the north shore of Long Island, and wanted to get the opinion of experts/aficionados, which I have and I'm greatly for.

The slogan of your site is "Passion. Opinion. Information." I've sought out the last two, you seem to have issues with this?

Do not worry.  You did nothing wrong nor were you accused of anything heinous. 

The reference to 'security' was to try to avoid talking about the features that would help other naughty people make a better....er....."Piaget" watch.

I apologise if my brevity offended; its a Sword of Damocles; damned if you talk too much and damned if too little.
