The Polo is for me the ONE watch design that is a synonym for Piaget. Unfortunately there are not too many AD's that carry the brand (the jewelry yes, but not the men's watches). I discovered the Polo at an AD in the north of France and was immediately taken by the watch.
The combination of red gold with the black gold bezel and the very nice size of 43mm made it a winner to me. It was an impulse buy that I never regretted.
The finishing of the case is the best I have seen from any watch manufacturer and is certainly due to the experience of Piaget in the jewelry field.
The only negative point I have about the watch is that the crown , for aestetic reasons, is pretty small and not the most comfortable to operate.
Here are some pictures that I took recently:

The strap complements the watch very well. No wonder you bought it on impulse.
Thanks for sharing the great pictures!
Is the black gold bezel actually solid black colored or just black gold plated over a gold bezel?
If it's solid black throughout, then I wonder why brands don't utilize black gold more often. With black PVD/DLC, yes the coating is strong but once it's scratched, you see the metal substrate underneath.

"The bezel is made out of 18kt gold bombarded with ions of titanium oxide. This process improves resistance to wear and gives the dark anthracite color".
I have this description from Piaget but honestly have no clue of what it really means or whether the process is only applied at the surface or throughout the bezel.
Best regards,
Gerard.
This Polo is one of my favorites! The black ionized gold ontop of the pink gold looks amazing. You made a great choice when you decided to purchase this watch. The best of the Polo collection in my opinion!
