PADI Blue
Noticed this before and finally found a good price to take it home. The dial looks like the Rolex Deep Sea and Seiko has wave pattern on the dial. Simple Seiko dive watch even though this piece will not go underwater, was a PADI diver long time ago..
I saw this Seiko watch at a local dealer: that was unusual to start with
Where I live, we have mountains and sheep more than PADI divers.
Also not many people admitting to watch collecting....sheep farmers and such folk.
So, I was surprised to see one of these watches in a local jewellery store. Round here, jewellery stores also carry small selections of watches...usually quartz movements. Maybe because Seiko is promoting an anniversary with divers' watches that the display had miniature diving display props like aqualung and flippers.
The price was reasonable for so much watch so I was almost tempted....but I don't dive nor even could "justify" any association.
Now...how to justify a pilots' watch?
