Perfection. Sorry but lately I just think Hublot is doing things better than AP, Patek, and the usual suspects. This 42mm sapphire is incredible. The liga wheel at 7 is so cool. Very similar tech to what Rolex put on the new Daytona movement but on full display. This thing is a joy for the eyes and movement lovers out there. Thank you Ben for making it happen! I suspect Hublot will one day get the widespread love they deserve. Under their new CEO they’re heading in the right direction versus AP’s new CEO… I’ve owned a fair few sapphire pieces and this one is by far and away the best fitting and most fun. The one click strap change system is still superior to Vacheron and AP’s system and chronograph feel blows away my 43mm offshores and my 5980’s.

Honestly I never quite understood all
the hate directed at them. They are not my favorite brand but I wouldn't turn one down

Having experienced it first hand
For some reason they seem to attract all of the wrong people a few years ago.
At some point in my career
About 10-15yrs ago most of the worst people I knew seem to be enjoying hublot pieces, think early days of the big bang.
I don't recall ever reading "Hublot" and "Patek" in the same sentence before
I do not own any Patek, and might be a bit naive on how the brands compete / compare.
Comparing to AP, sure, this happens quite a bit. It is a 2-sided quoin, and personally, I do not relate nor agree with either side.
Side A is AP people automatically dismissing Hublot and its merits, despite never owning one, and for most, never even handling one.
Side B is Hublot people having this insatiable desire to be in the "AP League".
I am the AP Moderator, and am quite enthusiastic about the pieces I have. And yet, I have never shied away from Hublot, having bought my first in 2007. Since this time, I have never been without an AP, but Hublots have come and gone. The one I have now I believe is a long term keeper for me (the 2024 LE Ice Bang). In 2025, I have worn it the most of any sports watch I have. I absolutely love it, and can care less what anybody thinks about that.
Will Hublot ever have the respect they deserve? In my crystal ball, no. But that does not diminish my enjoyment in the slightest.

Having spent a considerable amount with both AP and Hublot. AP treats me like shit and like they don’t need my business and their watches break left and right. Wish it wasn’t the case.

We should not support companies that don't appreciate us. I've been done with AP for some time now for the exact same reason. There are plenty of options of houses that would love our business that treat us well.

I've moved on. Having a fun time with Hublot, Lange, IWC, and indies. MB&F and others are like family.
I have received tremendous customer service from both brands.
And truth be told, I have never owned a Hublot that was received with or developed any kind of issue. I cannot say the same for AP, but again applaud the manner in which my issues have been corrected. Room for both in my collection.
Old AP is gold.
New service center in North Carolina is ehhhh. Slow and overpriced and came back with dust under crystal. Other one came back with scratches on bezel that weren’t there. All got resolved but took a long time and countless emails….

I understand (and it's the same in Germany) that there are a lot of uncool show-offs who wear Hublot watches here.
But... that doesn't change the fact that Hublot watches, with their positive creativity, always bring a smile to my face! (I feel the same way about Moser, by the way...)
And isn't that what our wonderful hobby is all about in the end? Our joy?
