From one of the homelands of the species 🙌🏻

on my honeymoon in Spain a long long time ago. They were fantastic. Unfortunately they are very rare if available at all in my neck of the woods.

At least the tinned variety is usually more broadly available?

I guess I doubted they are as good as fresh caught and not sure of my ability to prepare them so they would taste anything like what I had in Spain.

Wouldn’t fry them personally 😊

Fried smelt is always a fun option.
