Monaco on the mind...
KMII's recent post about square designs has had me in the mood to go square, especially as I await the delivery of my wife's Monaco. For today, I have the LS strapped on.
Your Bucherer will form a great duo with this rarely seen Monaco 😉

You are SOOOOO right! Monaco LS is an awesome watch IMO. I don't understand why it's not more, "popular." Seriously, how many posts do you see for the LS besides mine? No respect! 😉
To be honest Monaco is generally rarely seen around here these days...

Need to look into it at some point, I guess. As I told you in the other post I see many a TAG Heuer but almost all of them are Carreras. And got one colleague with a vintage Camaro. Not sure if this reflects the sales in any way, or if it’s just the weird company I keep

As much as I appreciate and respect the original Monacos...
The LS is thicker and the dial has more detail. Original Monacos look vintage, and that's great. The LS however, is a contemporary design that elegantly brings the Monaco into THIS century. IMO, there is nothing "vintage" about the look of the LS. It makes a strong statement in its own right. I also L-O-V-E the slate/orange Monaco 24 Calibre 36 (El Primero) DEFINITELY on my "wish list."
The 24 is definitely quite interesting...
Always wanted to ask - are the subdials retrograde?

The Monaco LS is cool and we didn't know about it.
You are the first one to show it on the wrist in my memory but we can't monitor all the fora all the time. One may have sneaked through before....

Prior the the Heuer 01, the LS was my favorite (and first) TAG Heuer piece. During a visit to the manufacture, Mr. Biver signed the inside of the strap to make it extra special. This piece is VERY personal to me. A keeper, for sure.
Monaco 24/LS
I might be in the minority, but I much prefer the case shape of the LS / Monaco 24 watches to the 'vintage' models. I love the bevelled edges and the chunkiness to them ad they seem much less obtrusively 'square' on the wrist. I actually tried on the new quartz Monaco a few weeks ago and it seemed so 'feminine' to me.

That's why my next Monaco will probably be the Monaco24(Orange) w/ Calibre 36 with the El Primero
