...though I prefer that 'RAF' design I have had use for the stupid extra strap. On my Enicar Sherpa, the watch tends to slide off the strap (due to the relationship between the bars and the caseback) only to be saved by the keeper strap. On all my other watches....the keeper gets cut off.
I also 1/2 agree on the Zulus.
Generally ugly; though some less than others, and stupidly bulky (can't wear one when using a keyboard), but a good one is a godsend when trying to strap a watch/timer/gauge over your wetsuit with cold, clumsy fingers. The NATO/G1) is just too fiddly.
