There are persistent rumour now and then that the Rolex 17000 was supposedly designed by Gerald Genta before he came up with the design of the AP Royal Oak...
Is this true, unverifiable or nonsense?
I would believe it
But it could also be the same thing GP did with the Laureato. Used the design which was their own take on it
