2011 will be the year of the new IWC Portofino. The flagship of the new range will be the Portofino Hand-Wound Eight Days (pictured below in steel), powered by a variant of the well known and respected cal. 5000 automatic. This new 8 Days makes the Portofino range, which was formerly an afterthought, a serious contender in the IWC line-up.
The other new model is the Portofino Dual Time. These two new models will be available on leather straps made by Italian shoemaker Santoni. Also, both existing models the Portofino Automatic and Chronograph will enjoy facelifts, and the entire model will be available with the option of the Milanese mesh bracelets.

amid the huge movement. Otherwise, there's a lot to like: the ambition of the 8 day handwound movement, and an attractively designed dial. Thanks for your efforts as always, SJX.

i like it a lot..
thanks for sharing.
about the roman 12 and power reserve , would look better with the power reserve moved to the back of the watch and at 45mm case size i believe that 12 in arabic would be suitable... a matter of personal opinion or taste...

great to see the Portofino line gets manufacture movements. They could lose the date though.
