This watch has been getting plenty of wrist time this Fall. I frequently wear this watch like others would wear a GShock and I like how the case looks pristine, and the strap gracefully wears in.
But I don’t quit get the power reserve indicator on a pilot watch. Fighters don’t stay airborne for days so it doesn’t make sense on the Miramar version of this watch. That would be my only drawback on this watch

Personally, I think a power reserve indicator is silly on any automatic watch. But, for reasons stated by roundel, we can make-up our own reasons to enjoy the indicator.
For me the power reserve is fun to watch build as I wear the watch, but the real value is seeing where I stand on power as I peek at my options in the watch box. I enjoy power reserves on automatics from dress, to divers, to pilot watches for this reason. I can imagine a pilot may also enjoy this info between sorties.
