I never sold a watch.
Simply said, i had no luxury watches 3 years ago.
Selling a Seiko sportura brings low money in the pocket, so selling that watch is useless.

I've learned a lot over the past years.
On the one hand here in the forum, where there are so many knowledgeable watch collectors with a very developed taste.
In the other hand my taste has evolved over the years, too, and I've also learned that I want to wear watches intensely and that I have made a lot of purchases in the past that I would no longer make today.
In the meantime I have to be 100% passionate about a new model. If it's not 100% for the heart, I'd rather leave it.
All purchases where I persuaded myself to buy a certain watch for “intellectual reasons” (increase in value, rarity, a certain utility value or the like) have not passed the test of time.
I have significantly reduced my watch collection over the past few years and now only own watches that I really love and that make me immensely happy every time I wear them.

I’d discovered that a mechanical watch is something special.
I was born in the quartz age and do not mention the power of mechanical watches.
What is it? How does it works?
Discovering the magic so late in my life, it was unbelievable when i saw for the first time an escapement at work, turning wheels.
In the beginning i thought i must wear the watch and after awhile the movement goes to work.
When i was buying my Baume and Mercier, the sales lady shows me that turning on the crown in the 0 position winds up the watch.
I tried it at my other automatics and after this i wind an un wounded watch a couple of times and it is ready to wear.
Only my Tissot do not wind on the crown, so i set it on my watch winder.
I am always a little afraid of over winding the main spring.
If i had never discovered automatics or hand wound watches,
i think i would never build up a watch collection.
Only a few quartz watches was enough to own.
The forever working movement. The watch makers we need to keep our watches fit, and your watch wil be discovered a century later making new watch enthusiasts, is priceless.
So when holding a pocket watch in your hands, this jewel have a story.
And ask me why i have no vintage watches, i am not that far, i am learning.

Buying an used watch/vintage, the seller can not write the date of purchase on the warranty card.
So a birthday purchase or an other special date notation (wedding) is lost.
This what i go to write is not investigated, when new watches sold, more watches go into the world, and it keeps on work for companies like factories, stores, designers.
Tax incomes.
Personally i like the way a new watch is crisp, clean, undamaged. Like a new born. A new time.

Today I went with my new 3754 to my AD's master watchmaker. I had to leave her there for terrible 90 minutes. During this time he put the beauty through its paces.
The result: the watch is in perfect condition with fantastic amplitude values. The movement was only a little oiled and the seals checked. Everything perfect for a long journey together. 😊
