Ciao Paneristis!
Hope you all had a great start to the week!
Well, SIHH 2010 will be upon us in less than a week's time from now! Isn't it superb!
I have some small info to share with you all, and this is official because it is confirmed by the Tokyo boutique, and they have given me permission to share it with everyone on the forum!
Now, all of you must have known by now the new release which is the PAM 336 that houses the new P.999 movement which is a Piaget based hand wound.
Initially when this was announced, I knew that i loved it, if only it existed in Titanium....
And guess what? This movement will be released in 3 versions, the pink gold that we all know, AND both Titanium and Stainless steel!
So rejoice for those who are aiming to get it! It will be a regular release, thus ensuring that all who wants to get one will get it, plus the price is VERY affordable i will say!
Well, among the 3, i know that i will be getting mine in Titanium, what about you? What will you get it in?
In any case, kudos to Panerai, and i definitely am totally in love with them!
Ciao
Stephen

The same for the SS version?
Do you already know their PAM numbers?
Thanks for sharing these info.
Best regards,
Patrickh
As for the dial colours, I have not confirmed anything yet.
I will try to get some info tomorrow if possible.
Yes i do prefer noir!
PAM numbers not confirmed yet.
Salut!
Stephen
Sure it will fit you, in Ti version
Mr Ti
Cheers,
Patrickh
mentionned he will stop to deliver ETA movements to some Manufactures, without giving more informations.
The new area for Panerai with P999 calibre seems logical. And time to deliver new models for Panerai is usually about a year!
To be taking into account in your choice.
Hope it could helps you,
Cheers,
Patrickh
I do not know.
But now that SIHH is just days away, i do strongly advice you wait.
Cheers

There was a Panerai event here in Milan right before X-mas and along with other fellows Paneristi I had the chance to chat with the sales manager of Panerai in Italy, after many questions about the future of in-house vs. purchased movements he said somethings that sounded like "don't worry, it's gonna take a while before the good old Unitas will retire". Let's see whether he was telling the truth or not....
Cheers.

Well, the prices that I do know now are in Yen for the local Japanese market, so they may ultimately vary for your market, but the SS version is somewhere in between the 2 you mentioned here.
Cheers

I do love Platinum and it is still my number 1 top metal, but it's not the only metal that i love!
Tschuss!

Thanks for the preview Stephen.
Very interesting but honestly after having had on the wrist the 232 and the 249 I don't think I can fit a 42 mm Radiomir.
To me it looks perfect for a woman' wrist.....at least I hope my wife will see it and like it so I can have my 210 back.
Cheers!
Ale
I still am not exactly sure about how it will wear on me, but i am planning to use it as a business watch if and when i do get it!
Cheers!
Stephen
)But that's all i know, for now!
Ciao!

Hi, Stephen!
I am thrilled about this good news, but at the same time it changes everything on my wishlist, as this new model (the one in Ti as well) will surely bump several future watches of mine down on the list.
Can't wait to see pictures of it!
Thanks for this great news and I hope you have a great Pre-SIHH week ahead!
Alex
It sure is good news ay! I know that the SS and Ti models will definitely sell very well, especially since their pricings are very very close to each other, and really it's up to one on whether they will choose SS or Ti due to it's weight ( here in Japan when comparing on the base models, most customers end up choosing SS because they say that Ti is too light and doesn't "feel" like a luxury watch), different finishings ( i have no confirmation on this as of yet but i am expecting the SS to be fully polished a la 210, while the Ti should be either fully brushed, or with just the bezel polised a la 309), but if I may be allowed to give an opinion, i would highly recommend Ti for it's many intrinsic values that puts it way much better and over SS. ( Especially when you aren't paying much for it at all over the price of the SS version, yet you are getting a metal that is so much more!)
You have a great and safe week ahead too mio amigo!
Ciao
Stephen
So great choice for Panerai, and this will definitely increase their sales!
Cheers

Great post BluNotte!
As regards price, what is it in yen in your market?
