Hi,
Took my Flyback in to get checked today as it would appear that the self winding mechanism is not functioning. After winding the watch it would stop working after about 2 days even with constant wearing. It also has a noticeable rattle when wearing it, which I didn't know whether that was normal with a crystal back as my other Pam with a SS back is silent. Hopefully it is only a small problem and can be fixed quickly but disappointing considering it is only a month old.
When I returned it to the dealer I noticed a Radiomir 268 which I really liked the look and functionality of. I know some people like the Rad's to be simple but I like the date and 8 day indicator, as I want it to be very functional. I normally like automatic watches but thought if it was mechanical at least the 8 day indicator was useful and reserve should mean less winding.
I have reserved the 268 but would like any comments before I put any money down in a few days.
Cheers!

There really aren't many Radiomirs with a magnifying glass over the date, so they are relavitely uncommon. What's cool about this Radiomir is it's a manual wind. Normally Panerai's with a date w/ magnifying glass are all automatics but this is the 1st Panerai to break this trend. The PAM268 houses the P.2002 movement but doesn't have the GMT function normally found on a P.200x watch such as the PAM233.
The wobble you hear in your Flyback (I'm assuming it's a PAM212 or similar model?) is from the rotor spinning around which is common trait of the Valjoux movement.
Cheers,
Anthony
