I always thought the Pangea Expedition already started sometime last year but guess I was wrong :P I hope Panerai has another Mike Horn event like his last expedition because that event was simply amazing and one of the most memorable events I've ever been to.
Wishing Mike Horn a successful and safe journey!
Cheers,
Anthony
The Depth Guage must look great on your wrist....same as your 194 old time sake.
Cheers
It's because of the mix of an elecrtonic and a mechanical solution, as the Depht Gauge woks with a battery.
I understand that it was the only solution ot get some official authorisations, but I much prefer the whole mechanical JLC Depht Gauge.
I aslo have to say that the esthetic of the Panerai Depht Gauge is not my cup of tea.
But..To each its own...
Best.

I`ve always admire Mike Horn on his expeditions and his family for supporting him..
Great to see him in person.
Wishing him a smooth and successful journey.

Interesting about the Depth Gauge, I think it's a bit of a shame really and shows something of a submission on Panerai's behalf, especially given that JLC had already done the whole mechanical thing, BUT in my opinion, the Favre Leuba Bathy V2 will blow both of these out the water (excuse the pun!)
Nice Yatch though!
use electronics in order to have it certified as a depth meter, and the watch as a tool. JLC's is more of a mechanical technological achievement, but not accurate and thus no certification.
Don't get me wrong, I prefer JLC's.
