Would like to buy my first Pam.

Which model should i start with.

I have read most pf the post here, but would still appreciate all your guidance.

Seriously, it depends of your budget... You have basically 2 choices, The Rads or the Luminors... As for a Rad, for the 1st one, I'd directly go on a 190, 232, or a 249 ( The Cali)... As for a Luminor, I'do go, depending on the budget, on a Pam 000, 111, or better, in tritium, Pam 2 or 1... There is a 3rd option, the Submersibles...The 24 A/ B / C or the 25 ( same letters), or even better, the Bomba, all these are nice first choices... I think steel is a better start, unless you want a lighter model and thus prefer the titanium.

This is the most difficult question to answer because there are so many Panerai models to be selected as one's first piece. Nicolas' advice sounds good to me...you know,.... take more factor into your consideration: budget, specific type of watch case, movement (self or manual winding), small seconds?

Kindly scope all these factors and it will be easier to make a choice.

...but for myself, i think i might want to start with a Radiomir. Historical look of it is superb. Pam 249 would be great but no chance. A simple Base 210 isnt bad And for me, never get an automatic, 40mm, or too much complication. Panerai looks best in its basic style, 2 hands or at most with a sub second. This is my personal taste in Panerai Please note that i am not an owner of Panerai yet, but had been toying with the idea for long.

I think Nicolas has summed it up in a nutshell..!!  However as I'm in a similar position I would have to say that due to my small wrists I would put Radiomir before Luminor (just to mix it up a bit...!!)  so I am still looking and waiting for the right Panerai.

So the first thing to do would be to pop down to your local AD and try both styles on....then you will be drawn in for sure..!!

I personally would start off with a 44mm Luminor such as the PAM111, PAM112, PAM0, or PAM5 because of Panerai's iconic crown protector.

My lucky number is 7 but i would not go for either 1 on the first 3 watches as shown..lol. It does not appeal to me.

i am new to the brand but not to watches..do have  a rolex daytona, submariner, BP flyback chrono and GO perpetual cal 100, graham chronofighter and chopard mile miglia, ball chrono as well... but now have been quite smitten by the PAM and the models in question are as following 233, 270,275....i love watches and my taste is diverse and i would like to add something iconic to my collection
i truly like the robust triple barrel set ups, proprietary movement
