I really like these older Santor models with the Guilloche dials.
Their successors with the plain dials tended to be very, very stern and sober. Maybe a touch too stern for some tastes.
Here the Guilloche adds interest to the dial without taking anything away of its seriousness. And it is dead beautiful which you captured very nicely in the picture

Yes, definitely: the succesor models are stern and sober! What a correct definition!
These particular watches with the guilloche dials produced only for a couple of years. First became the perpetual calenders this wonderful guilloche dial, than these models. But the production cost of a guilloche dial was too high for a normal, stainless steel Senator watch therefore after 3 years the production was stopped.
What a pity!
I was so lucky that I could find one more brand new model at my beloved AD!
