Flounder, whole fried.
I'm pretty sure Eddie-san said that the flounder had been flown in from France! I did a quick google - I think "karaage" means whole-fried. Perhaps "Karei" is the Japanese word for Flounder?

You guys are blessed with great Japanese restaurants. I have had some wonderful meals while visiting LA.
