Ok let's get back to your watch. The dial has been repainted. Your example looks to be an early one as most have the case ref stamped on the inside of the case back which should be 2292. They typically were made with a aluminum case and a steel case back. I can't remember off hand if it should have fix strap bars or not.

the military markings on the back dont look like they've been engraved by anyone working for the military. it looks too amateurish to me.

on this not very good pic you can see the type of engraving you would expect. i dont have a decent pic of my 6b/159 with snap back, only this 234 with screwback. 

sorry for us to impart bad news, but better to know the truth.

The caseback  marking does not look like other examples I have seen over the years.
