Hi all,
Juz to share my 1940s Seamaster Calendar with you guys.
Love the "hammer" movement...
Enjoy.
This message has been edited by hhk2 on 2009-07-21 19:35:35This is the one i had until a couple of years ago. i believe that the 1st model had the date at 3 and this is the 2nd model with date at 6. a much nicer look IMO. a bit more unusual. mine dates from around 1954 so your dating is a bit off. if you can get the caseback off and give us the movement number it will help to date it.

best
Graham
With this "non-square" date aperture, it could be a 355 calibre.
Nice patina, nice watch to keep!
Ben.
Hi Gra,
I'll try to take a better pic this weekend...been working long hours this week, leaving house before sunrise and returning back home after sunset. Sigh!
I knew you do have a SM calendar but din't know that it's no longer in your possession...such a pity to let go a beauty.
I have no doubt with your dating, should be from the 50s.
All the best.
Hi all,
Apologies for the late post. Hopefully the quality is up to the expectation.
Enjoy...

My cal. 353 Seamaster is almost my daily wearer. (Well, it usually is, I haven't taken off my watch since coming back from Holidays...)Very similar to Graham's example, but with longer arrowheads instead of numbers at the 3,9, etc. It has an incorrect Omega crown on it, but I'm in no hurry to correct it...
