Hi !

Since I did not like very much the Marine Wiristwatch but was deeply intereted by the story and the technique, I opted for this model. I was very lucky to find one this summer. I now wonder how many were made (civil version and military version)

Great Clock... I miss mine.  I had a military issued one ( French Navy).  I cant get to my notes on the number they produced. 

I found a few pics of the military version with its Offical rate  book since it was put into service ! ( also notice the additional metal anti-magnetic shielding !) ...

I've got an Omega Mégaquartz like yours and i'm looking for a value but i didn't manage to find one.
I'm waiting for an estimation from a watches specialized but he said to me it wasn't easy to find.

Perhaps could you give me the price you've paid for yours or, if you won't, give me an "high and down" estimation??

Mine has the number 164, works well, looks well and there's the Official Rate Book since it was into service.
It'd baught by the French Navy in 1981.

What a wonderful choice! I last set mine on March 24, 2007 -- 18 months ago. It is 1 second fast right now. I'm very happy with the cal 1525 Megaquartz Marine Chronometre! [I do like the wristwatch version too, though, and this case style in general, as you can see.]

All versions 1,300 movements (Calibre 1525)

About half of them for the French navy (SHOM) and 2 for the Swiss navy ( sorry, just kidding!)

The rest was sold the public or offered to heads of states by the Swiss government.
