Globemaster
In the UK Financial Times on Saturday was a full page devoted to the new Omega Globemaster: RG case, co-axle movement with pie-pan dial on an alligator strap. In my local AD a large picture only of the same new watch: SS case with blue dial on a SS bracelet. No prices and nothing here at PuristSPro? Looking forward to a review (please).

My fault ...
I went to the boutique to take pictures of it but I was deep attracted to the Omega Trésor Master Co-Axial 40 mm white gold and I forgot the Globemaster.
I'm a sucker for manual wind movements where the clear case back shows a gorgeous movement.
More about the Omega Trésor Master Co-Axial later this week.
Tomorrow (23th) I plan to return there to examine the Globemaster.
My first impressions was that the date (always the date) breaks the pie-pan dial balance.
There's a no date version (gorgeous if one ask me) but only on a platinum case.
About the price, if you access the Omega site using a smartphone you can see the local price.

Liked the dial and the movement, less so the case finishing. Would have preferred it without the date (only the platinum is without) but that was not the killer criterion for me.
Definitely a good addition to the Onega portfolio IMHO

Nothing? Here is a background report on the METAS certification lab, & the Globemaster...
In late October 2015 OMEGA in cooperation with the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS), has presented the first ever wristwatch certified according to the exacting, transparent Master Chronometer standard developed to simulate daily wearing situations. It certifies both movement as well as the final watch.
This new standard is open to every (Swiss) manufacture through an innovative licensing apporach (METAS-supervised testing laboratories set up by interested brands or external testing facilities) and thus has the potential to become a new industry standard. Thus, the new certification is at the same time a innovative example on how small government agencies and large industry can cooperate for mutual benefit.
