Summer time....and the Livin' is easy.
That may be true but which Chopard watch is best for Summer Time Loving?
Which CHOPARD watch is best for Summer 2015?
What are the criteria for a Summer watch?
If you ask three people, you may get 5 answers!
For me, Summer is about heat and humidity. Its about looking cool in the sunshine and doing sportive things.
Even if lazing in a deck chair, its about watching the world go by at motor racing, tennis, or rowing whilst sipping an ice-cold Pimm's with my strawberries.
It's about holidays in exotic places or at least Summer Dreaming......
Even an enthusiast like me has to admit that elegant L.U.C timepieces may be banished to the occasional Summer evening soirees.
Thus, what can we wear in the daytime? I don't like metal bracelets although have been forced to use a few when in sweltering Singapore and Kyoto.
Tourbillons and Perpetual Calendars in gold cases may not fare well by the swimming pool or BBQ pit.
Chronographs and Time Only watches seem logical for the Summer and they are available in robust cases of steel, ceramic and titanium. They have rubber or Barenia leather water resistant straps.
You can see where I'm going with this..... Chopard Summer Time Loving?

Chopard Chronograph Grand Prix de Monaco Historique

Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Power Control
What are your Summer criteria?
What would you choose for Summer?

it is a very interesting question: What would I wear for summer and what are the criteria?
I think I would love to be able to wear Aquanaut 5167 R for the summer. It is a sporty/dressy watch that beats them all ! ( in my opinion)
And you could take it for a splash in a pool and straight to the bar for a refreshing drink of coconut water. The rubber strap is just perfect for humid months. And the case is just beautiful.
What else could I need ?
Too bad is not Chopard
Unless you need your watch to do calculations.
Best Regards
Edward

Some even had extra GMT function because the diving locations are different from the financial centres......
A bit like Patek Philippe watches, when Chopard discontinued the model, it became a cult and desirable watch.
Collectors are funny like that.
