Audemars Piguet

I recently bought me a beautiful Offshore Safari and while I found the hornback strap very comfortable I'd really like a rubber strap in addition as it is just so much more robust.

Of course the perfect rubber strap for a Safari should be brown, however surfing the internet for such thing only dubious websites (trying to be politically correct ^^) come up. 

Unfortunately the next AP dealership is 150mls away - can you please educate me about the rubber straps? Is there actually a genuine AP rubber strap in brown color for the 2014 Offshores available?

Aftermarket AP straps n accessories , pretty fine quality though.

I'm not sure a brown rubber strap is available for the Safari, but I would not be surprised if one is in the works.  I'll see if i can find out more.

I completely advise against aftermarket parts for AP watches.  They never look as good, and are a complete downgrade to authentic Audemars Piguet quality.

Yesterday I had the chance to visit APs german service center in Wiesbaden since I had a meeting nearby. There is no brown rubber strap with the newer, less tapered style with pin buckle. These rubber straps are only available in blue and black.

A brown rubber strap would be available in the older style with folding clasp, however. A new style strap in brown might become available in the future, however.

Buyers beware: There are several brown new style straps on offer on chrono24. Those are obviously fake!

With AP, you never know when it might be offered though!
