Hi Guys,
Your thoughts and pics on the volcano, i found a new one for 15K. would love to get your opinion , reviews and experiences.
thanks for your time.
If you noticed (at least I have) , prices for the volcano in the secondary market have been on the decline (as such you mentioned the price)
A very close cousin, the Hour Glass Limited Edition Lava, however, hold its value pretty well.
Having said all that, its a matter of personal tastes, and mine has the Safari, Navy and Panda well ahead of the Vesuvius
like references or specific dealers / sellers, etc -
specifically about prices and discounts:
Connoisseurship, ownership and collecting is about much more than price and who sells what. Price and seller references tend to overwhelm the other more subtle, though equally important aspects of the aficionado experience.

I've been pretty loose and lenient about violations of these guidelines recently, please don't force me to enforce them strictly again.
Thanks.

Whether it is good looking or not, it is all personal taste, I got mine a pretty new one a few weeks ago on the 2nd hand market at a good price. I don't know exactly how long it has been around, maybe a few years but ROO comes up with different things every year anyway. To me, the orange and black contrast go really well, yellow and black is good too, if it is red, it has to be a Ferrari red, not the dull red of a fire engine. I thought about the Safari, Rubber Clad or Navy, if you want a ROO, you might as well get something out of the ordinary, you cannot wear it under your sleeve anyway with its bulk.
As ROO is into fad and hype, the Bubble Bee is of course selling for good price right now but when it dies down, who can predict its value. The most important thing is you like it and if you are not paying top money, it is a bonus! My 2 cents worth.
if you like it, then just go for it.
personally, i find the black/orange to be a nice "fierce and loud" combination.
look around you, quite a number of the signboards (eg road sign, "danger" sign, "attention" sign) are in orange, and these colour combinations have been around for a long time, will continue to be in use for many years to come.
the contradictory ones!
Ultimately, price will fade into the distant past and memory and what will remain is the item. You must like it, or you shouldn't get it (or keep it)
I myself have an orange and black variant (prototype which AP decided not to move forward with because the material was too hard to work with, commercially) and it has not lost its beauty or attraction for me, even after several years.
I know others who tire of it in a few weeks / months.
It's up to you, and knowing what you like.
Consider the comments of others for reference, but be careful not to fall into analysis paralysis based on the OPINION of others.
In the end, it's your money, and your opinion, that counts.
Cheers,
TM
